Ok, let me think and try to tell the whole story about this piece:

Here on Deviant I'm a watcher of Nightwing1975s' deviant page: [link]

One day he uploaded a deviation called Polar: [link]

I was blown away by this piece and when reading the description, I saw he did the paint job (and a very good one too! ) on a kit he bought online, a Masters of the Universe kit. As a child i LOVED the MOTU series so I PMed nightwing1975 to ask him more info on this kit. He was very helpfull (thanks again for that) and after a bit of search I bumped onto this page:

It seemed a guy called "Royal-T" has this annual contest on the MOTU-boards where fans can enter their original design of a new MOTU character. The winning character gets sculpted by this tallented Royal-T and afterwards you can buy your own casted kit online. That's what I did and I painted it.
So please tell me what you think of him. Comparing my version to nightwings' his is far more detailed than mine (painting wise I mean). Mine is less detailed on perpose, (not because Im' lazy :p I wanted him to fit in with my other MOTU statues and those have more of a cartoony look going on. That's what I was aiming for.

And then one last thing: he "gems" on his chest en belt were hollow. I painted them first in 2 types of blue and after thet filled them with tranparent Smooth-cast rasin to get thet gem-look. I personally think that turned out rather nicely.

I really like the colour scheme :) The gem effect is very nice, too bad it's not so visible on the pictures.

wow man, your po-lar turned out amazing, i really love it. it is by far one of the best paint jobs i have seen done on this character to date & the gems turned out amazing.

so have you became a member of the he-man.org yet?

yea i cant wait. to be honest he was not one of my favourites, personally i really liked unicra but i still think i will get spy-fly for my collection.
